Katie grew up in Fredericksburg and received her Bachelor's in Psychology at William & Mary. She graduated from VCU with her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2019, where she completed research on sleep quality and sensory processing. Katie currently works full time in public schools in addition to PRN at Spot On. She is especially passionate about working with children with motor planning challenges, sensory processing differences, and children who require assistive technology. Katie uses many different frameworks, such as sensory integration therapy, in her practice. She is also very interested in the connection between processing internal body sensations (interoception) and self-regulation in neurodiverse individuals. When she's not working, she enjoys painting, hiking, and spending time with her husband and dog.
