Alexandra Thomas

Clinic/Early Intervention, M.S., OTR/L, CTP

Alexandra has been a pediatric occupational therapist since 2016. She holds a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is experienced in outpatient, early intervention, private in-home practice, and telehealth. Her favorite thing about OT is helping people build skills and confidence to overcome barriers. She enjoys encouraging parents in early intervention to help their children learn and grow. She is passionate about supporting children and families with feeding and mealtime routines. It’s great celebrating with a family when their child is able to successfully eat something they never thought they could! She loves working with families of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Alexandra has taken continuing education courses in sensory processing, feeding, tethered oral tissues (TOTs), sleep, and cerebral palsy. Alexandra has been trained in the Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention protocol and is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). When Alexandra is not working as an OT she enjoys caring for her family (i.e., lots of cooking, baking, and laundry) as a wife and mom to twin boys.
