
Christa Kurbel
Christa is a Richmond native. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sociology with a concentration in Community Development from Eastern Mennonite University and Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from VCU in 2016. Since then, she has been practicing in pediatric outpatient clinics and early intervention. She works with children of all ages with a variety of diagnoses including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and those with trauma backgrounds. She is passionate about meal time experiences and enjoys helping families through feeding challenges. Christa is educated in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding and Beckman Oral Motor Protocol. She is passionate about being an ally for the neurodiversity movement. In her free time Christa enjoys playing sports, hiking with her husband and 2 young children, and cooking.
