Gillian Withers

Gillian is a board licensed and certified speech language pathologist. She graduated from James Madison University with both a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a master’s degree in Speech Pathology (Go Dukes!). She has experience working with children aged 3-15 with varying sensory and communication needs. Gillian’s clinical interests include working with children with speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and autism spectrum disorders. She enjoys collaborating with other team members (ABA, OT, school system) to help a child achieve their best outcomes. She has experience working with Augmentative and Alternative communication devices (AAC), advanced training in the assessment and treatment of Childhood Apraxia of speech (CAS), and is a PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) level 1 trained clinician. She is passionate about providing child led therapy, keeping up to date on evidence based practices, and helping children independently communicate with a variety of listeners.

When she isn’t working, Gillian enjoys playing fetch with her puppy (Theodore), traveling, and reading. She looks forward to working with your family!
