Karin Caskey

Clinic/Early Intervention, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Karin is a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist, with a graduate degree from University of Virginia, in Communication Disorders. With over 35 years of experience, Karin has enjoyed using her skills in a variety of settings, including public schools, private practices, as well as hospitals. Karin maintains the Virginia Early Intervention Certification, and enjoys working with families to facilitate growth in communication skills with very young children. Karin also has advanced training in adolescent
language disorders, and has completed extensive training through the University of Kansas. Karin’s clinical interests include child and adult language disorders, Autism, social language disorders, and phonological disorders. With many years of experience in a public school setting, Karin can also help families navigate and understand special education procedures, as they pertain to communication disorders.

Karin’s passion is in improving a client’s communication effectiveness for daily life activities and needs. Whether it involves understanding and using language for play, education or for social interaction, Karin strives to use her skills to further a client’s potential and improve performance across settings.

When not working, Karin enjoys exploring the great outdoors and loves to travel. She also enjoys sewing and crafting. Karin is the proud mother of three adult son’s and has two adorable grandsons who she loves spending time with.
