Kim Alford grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and relocated to the Richmond area to attend VCU. She received her BS in Occupational therapy from VCU. She received her Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University and returned to VCU to complete her post professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) in 2017. Kim has provided occupational therapy services to children of all ages with developmental disabilities for the past 25 years. She enjoys working with children and their families to find strategies to increase their functional abilities while improving quality of life for the entire family. Kim has received additional training in sensory integration/sensory processing disorders, feeding therapy (Beckman oral motor strategies and Talk Tools), cognitive behavioral therapy, and NDT. When she is not working, Kim is an active volunteer in her church and community, enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family.
